Safari Sailing
We
regularly add a few nights on the beach to the end of a safari itinerary.
But for something a bit different, what about a few nights sailing around
the African coastline?
There are a several options to choose from
Utamaduni is a beautifully refurbished traditional dhow based at Manda Bay in Kenya. The 60 foot boat has three double cabins and can be chartered for day or overnight trips. Guest can explore the idyllic islands of the Lamu archipelago and Kiwayu either under sail or motor.
Sanjeeda is a newly-built sailing dhow with comfortable accommodation spread over six cabins. A two or three night trip around Lamu allows guests to explore the island itself and the many waterways and tropical islets that dominate the area.
Midsummer is a luxury 120 foot classic yacht on which you can explore the islands off Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique. Fully air conditioned, Midsummer has two twin and one double cabin.
Mufasa on Lake Malawi is a 38 foot Ocean going
catamaran with four double cabins, two bathrooms, a galley, saloon
and cockpit under shade. It is equipped with six sets of scuba
gear, as well as snorkelling and fishing equipment. A few nights
on board will allow guests to explore some of the Lake’s
finest scenery and beaches.
