Birding Safaris![]() ![]()
Identifying colorful bird species adds a new dimension to the African bush, and the better guides are skilled in identifying all the individual birds in their given area. With their help you'll be able to sight rare species and learn about the subtle differences in habits and lifestyles that make each bird unique. Most African countries have a vast selection of different bird species, but for sheer variety it's hard to beat Uganda and Rwanda, with habitats that range from huge lakes, through tracts of virgin rainforest up to snow-capped mountain peaks. In these countries the resident species are swelled each winter by annual migrants from Siberia and Norway. Further south the species change, with a whole new range of birds and habitats to discover, from the dry lands of Namibia to the rainforests of Madagascar. A sound knowledge of ornithology is the mark of a good guide, and we make every effort to ensure the guides we use are well-informed and enthusiastic. We can arrange for a specialist guide for keen birders, and we also have experience planning journeys that appeal equally to a non-birding spouse or children. We can make sure that each trip caters for every need and interest.
