Camp Kalahari

Camp Kalahari is a traditional, authentic tented safari camp located in a grove of mature trees near to the edge of a salt pan near to the Makgadikgadi Pans.
Accommodation & Facilities
The camp is made up of ten large walk in ‘Meru’ tents, each of which are imaginatively furnished with items sourced across East and Southern Africa. The adjoining bathrooms all have hot running water, a flush loo, and an open air shower. The central part of the camp is a spacious thatched dining and sitting room, and there is also a small swimming pool.
Wildlife & Activities
This is a fascinating region which changes completely once the rains come - flamingo flock here and migratory herbivores come and spend a couple of months feeding from the lush grass. After the rains end, the land dries out swiftly, and the pans revert to the semi-desert habitat suited to Meerkats and brown hyenas. There is a wide range of activities available among which are walking with habituated Meerkats, quad biking, sleeping out in the pans under the stars, game drives, and guided bush walks with San Bushmen.
