Nxai Pan

Nxai Pan Camp is located in the Nxai Pan National Park, part of the Makgadikgadi Pans on the edge of the Kalahari Desert. The camp is set in amongst mature trees that offer good shade whilst retaining a view across the grass plains. This open landscape is enhanced by many large acacia trees, and the magnificent and ancient Baines Baobabs, which overlook a spring fed waterhole in the south of the park.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp consists of eight spacious rooms especially designed for the unique climatic conditions of the region, with thatched roofs and insulated walls to keep them cool during the very hot summers and warm in the cold winter months. The rooms at Naxi Pan Camp all have fans, en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers. The rooms are all built on raised wooden platforms and have a viewing deck to the front, and connected to the main mess and lounge by raised walkways. The camp also has a swimming pool and a library.

Wildlife & Activities
There is plentiful resident wildlife in the Nxai Pan National Park which is mainly desert adapted species such as springbok, gemsbok, ostrich and brown hyena. During the summer months this population is swelled by elephant, zebra, eland, giraffe and wildebeest. The predators follow these migrants and large prides of lion are often seen, as well as cheetah. Game viewing at Naxi Pan Camp is done mostly by vehicle but walks are also available.
