Vumbura Plains
Vumbura Plains is located on the Moremi Game Reserve's northern boundary, close to the Okavango Delta's peripheral dry savannah areas. Accommodations are split between into two separate camps, Vumbura North and Vumbura South. Both have luxury tented rooms with private facilities and a plunge pool. The main dining area and lounge are nestled among indigenous trees with wonderful views out across the floodplain. There is also a swimming pool at Vumbura Plains. Game activities at the camps include expert guided night and day drives in open 4x4 Land Rovers and walking safaris, mokoro (dug-out canoes) and conventional boat trips to view the water-based wildlife. The landscape around Vumbura hosts both wetland and savannah animal species. The bird watching in this area of Moremi is excellent, and fishing trips are popular.
