San Camp
San Camp is situated at the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana, one of the world's largest saltpan areas. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests in six large walk-in green canvas safari tents pitched on slightly elevated wooden platforms with private facilities (flush toilets and bucket showers). San Camp also has a central dining tent. San Camp opens at the end of April, is the beginning of the dry season (rainy season is December to April), since access is too difficult during the rainy season. There are often enormous herds of zebra, wildebeest, and springbok, together with their predators, on the open grasslands. The rains also bring water birds and flamingos into the area. Guests at San Camp can take guided walks with local trackers or game drives into the salt pans. In the winter months quad bikes are a fun way to explore the area further.
