Seba Camp

Seba Camp nestles into ancient riverine forest in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp is a base for elephant behavior research and is often used by wildlife film-makers. It takes its name from a young bull elephant called Seba who was part of Randall Moore's pioneering elephant back safaris from Abu Camp, just a few miles away. Seba was eventually released back into the wild by Moore along with several other trained elephants.

Accommodation & Facilities 
Seba Camp offers secluded accommodations in five luxurious elevated tents overlooking a permanent lagoon and seasonal floodplain which team with animal and bird life. The tents are specially designed to blend in with the Okavango landscape. Each has an adjoining bathroom and a private viewing deck on which to relax and observe the abundant wildlife. The dining room and bar also offer spectacular views from their elevated positions.

Wildlife & Activities
Knowledgeable guides are on hand to advise guests about all aspects of the Okavango Delta ecosystems; this is one of Africa's last remaining true wilderness areas. In addition to the large elephant population, there is a seasonal abundance of other game in the area including zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, tsessebe and lechwe. A resident pride of lions frequents the nearby area and their eerie calls can often be heard in the evenings. Other occasional visitors are large herds of buffalo. Over 380 different bird species have been recorded in this region, making this an ideal destination for keen birdwatchers. The water levels are at their highest during the African winter months, and Seba transforms into a water-based camp, with activities such as mokoro (dug-out canoes), motorboat excursions, and fishing; however, guided walks and game drives are still available.
