Xakanaxa Camp
Xakanaxa Camp is located in the Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. This is a lush area with abundant game year-round. Access is by light aircraft from Maun, though the journey can also be taken by road.
Accommodation is in twelve large tents on wooden platforms. Each tent is fully equiped and tastefully furnished, and has en suite facilities. The camp has been recently renovated and standards are high. The main area has a dining room, fire deck, bar and pool, and overlooks the Okavango waterways.
Xakanaxa is a water and land based camp, and is one of the few lodges in Moremi to be able to offer year round boating trips. Game activities are therefore by boat or vehicle, although as the camp is in the Game Reserve it is not possible to take part in walking safaris. Activities are led by professional, conservation-aware guides. There is also good bird viewing, and the chance to do some fishing in season.
