Xigera

Xigera is a wonderful tented camp set in a remote wilderness area of the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta. Access to the camp can only be reached by light aircraft, and if the winter water levels are high, a mokoro (dug-out canoe) and/or a boat is used to transfer guests from the airstrip to the camp.

Accommodation & Facilities
The camp consists of ten spacious and luxurious tented rooms which are comfortably furnished and feature adjoining bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flush toilets, indoor and outdooe the showers. Facilities at the Xigera include a plunge pool overlooking the floodplain and nearby waterhole. 

Wildlife & Activities
Xigera offers both water and land-based activities, although land-based activities may not be offered if water levels are too high. Guests travel in mokoros, which traverse the flood plains of the Okavango Delta under the guidance of experienced polers. Boat trips are also available. The land-based activities use open 4x4 Land Rovers, allowing guests to get close to the wildlife on the plains. Walking safaris are available and birdwatching in the area is excellent. There is a good chance of sighting lion and leopard along with their plains game prey including the rare sitatunga marsh antelope.
