Borana Lodge

Borana Lodge, in the remote Laikipia area, is a privately owned establishment where you can relax in the shadow of the jagged peaks of Mount Kenya.

The main lodge has eight stone and thatch cottages clustered around it, each with a private veranda, an adjoining bathroom with a bath, a shower and dressing room. Rustic cedar and leather furniture complimented by hand-painted fabrics contribute to the sophisticated look and feel of the cottage interiors; there is even an open fireplace for cooler African evenings. The varied cuisine ranges from traditional home cooking to the more exotic flavors. A pool overlooking the waterhole provides wonderful game watching, particularly for elephants which frequently come for a swim. 

Borana lodge offers excellent wildlife viewing, both locally and in the nearby parks, fly fishing on Mount Kenya, bird watching, riding, swimming and guided walks through the forest.
