Funzi Keys

Funzi Keys enjoys an idyllic location on an unspoiled Indian Ocean island off the southern coast of Kenya. The west-facing beach has glorious views of the evening sunsets.

Ten stone and thatch cottages are built along the high water line on the beach itself so that the sea almost reaches to up to your door (if you had one!). The cottages all have four poster beds and adjoining bathrooms. Each has a large furnished veranda from where you can sip a quiet drink while enjoying the stunning views. The main communal area has a large pool, dining room, and well stocked bar.

Funzi Keys offers a relaxed, easy going atmosphere; many guests do little more than unwind on the wooden poolside deck with a long cool drink while watching the local fishing dhows sail by. For the more adventurous or energetic guests there are opportunities for sailing, creek fishing, snorkeling, windsurfing, canoeing, or perhaps taking a boat trip up the nearby Ramisi River or Funzi Creek, ideal for bird watchers and nature lovers. The lodge provides an excellent base for scuba diving and deep-sea fishing in the world famous Pemba Channel.
