Lewa Wilderness Trails
Lewa Wilderness Trails in the wildlife rich Lewa Downs Conservancy is the home of the Craig family where guests have been entertained in luxury for over thirty years. The Lodge comprises nine well-separated, thatched cottages. Beautifully decorated, the cottages all have adjoining bathroom facilities, a fireplace and veranda. The dining room at the lodge serves wholesome, organically grown produce. Most guests opt to dine outdoors. There is a comfortable lounge as well as a tennis court and a salt-water pool. From the lodge, a professional guiding team leads guests on safaris, customized to meet the interests of the group. The guides describe Lewa history, flora, fauna, animal behavior, conservation and much more. The Conservancy boasts numerous predators and has the highest rhino concentration in East Africa. Guests can ride horses from the stables at the lodge or go hiking or jogging with a Masai warrior. There are also camel ride excursions to visit a local animal orphanage.
