Lewa Wilderness Trails
Situated in the wildlife-rich eastern corner of the Lewa Downs Conservancy in Kenya is the Craig family home, Wilderness Trails. Guests have been entertained in luxury here for the past 30 years.
The Lodge has 9 beautifully decorated thatched cottages, each with fireplaces and verandahs. Each has an en-suite bathroom. The food is wholesome and organically grown. The lodge has a dining room and lounge, although most meals are taken outdoors. There is also a tennis court and a salt-water pool.
A professional guiding team leads guests on customised daily safaris and educates them about flora, fauna, animal behaviour, conservation, Lewa history, and more. This area has the highest rhino concentration in East Africa, and is also home to a large number of predators. At the lodge there are stables, which are full of horses for guests to ride. Guests can also go hiking or jogging with a Masai warrior, take camel rides and visit orphaned animals.
