Little Governors' Camp
Little Governors' Camp is situated in a Conservation area just on the edge of Masai Mara Game Reserve. The 17 comfortable safari-tents are tastefully decorated, with adjoining bathroom facilities. The tents are fairly secluded and have a veranda with views over a large watering hole and out towards the magnificent plains beyond. Guests dine either in the candlelit dining tent or outside beneath the stars. The evening camp fire is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cool drink. The Masai Mara is home to large herds of wildebeest, antelope and buffalo; elephant, cheetah, hippo, giraffe, and leopard are often spotted. The magnificent black-maned lions which are famous throughout the Mara roam in large prides and spend most of the day in the shade, dozing beneath the acacia trees. The annual wildebeest and zebra migration from the southern plains of the neighbouring Serengeti is normally in the area from around late June to mid October.
