Loisaba

Loisaba lodge is perched on the edge of an escarpment in a 61,000 acre private game sanctuary overlooking the Laikipia plateau towards Mt Kenya.  The landscape in Kenya's Northern Territories is more varied than the southern plains and offers numerous different wildlife habitats.

Accommodation & Facilities
Seven lavishly furnished cottages with adjoining bathrooms are built into the escarpment and each has a veranda overlooking the water hole. There is also a croquet lawn, tennis court, pool and a spa with massage facilities.  Guests also have the unique opportunity of  sleeping outside on the "Star Beds" which are wheeled out onto open thatched platforms.

Wildlife & Activities
Big game is not as abundant here as in some other areas of Kenya, but this is home to elephant, wild dog, hippo, leopard and buffalo. The lodge also offers horseback riding, quad biking, kayaking, mountain biking and camel-riding. Alternately, you can simply relax at the spa, enjoying the magnificent views across the plains towards Mount Kenya.  The hosts at Loisaba ensure that your stay proves to be a memorable experience and take a personal interest in ensuring that you are well looked after.
