Loisaba

Loisaba lodge is perched on the edge of an escarpment overlooking the Laikipia plateau.  The landscape in Kenya's Northern Territories is more varied than the southern plains and offers numerous different wildlife habitats.

Seven lavishly furnished cottages with adjoining bathrooms are built into the escarpment and each has a veranda overlooking the water hole. There is also a croquet lawn, tennis court and pool.  Guests also have the unique opportunity of  sleeping outside on the "Star Beds" which are wheeled out onto open thatched platforms.

Big game is not as abundant here as in some other areas of Kenya, but this is home to elephant, hippo, leopard and buffalo. The lodge also offers horseback riding, river- rafting, camel-riding, and even helicopter trips.
