Loisaba
Loisaba is on the edge of Kenya's Northern Territories in a huge private area with many different types of habitat. The lodge is situated at the edge of an escarpment overlooking the Laikipia Plateau. Loisaba also offers guests a unique opportunity to sleep out on thatched platforms under the stars at their 'Star Beds', hosted by local Masai.
The Lodge is hosts are very much part of your experience at Loisaba and take a personal interest in ensuring you are well looked after. All seven cottages have decks built into the escarpment, which overlooks a waterhole. All have en-suite facilities and are beautifully furnished. The lodge has a tennis court, pool and croquet lawn.
While the Laikipia area is not traditionally associated with big game, it is home to leopard, buffalo, hippo and elephant. There are also many activities on offer, including horse riding, camel riding, river rafting and helicopter trips. Alternatively you can relax at the spa, and enjoy the view across the plains towards Mount Kenya.
