Offbeat Mara Camp

 

Offbeat Mara Camp is situated within the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. This secluded bush camp is located on the banks of the Olare Orok River, with tall trees keeping the site shady and cool. Animals are free to roam throughout the area and the camp blends naturally into the habitat of the Mara.

Accommodation & Facilities
There are just six luxury tents at Offbeat Mara Camp with views across the plains. All tents have adjoining bathrooms with ‘bucket’ showers (hot water available on request), flushing toilets, lighting and huge wooden beds. Evenings are spent relaxing around the camp fire after dining under the stars. There is a bar at the camp and a lounge tent with comfortable chairs to lounge in, perhaps with a drink and a book from the small reference library.

Wildlife & Activities
Knowledgeable guides lead game drives in customized 4 x 4 vehicles with allowing visitors to view the wildlife of this fascinating reserve, where the annual wildebeest and zebra migration cross the plains from the neighboring Serengeti between July and mid October. These animals are prey for lions, cheetah and leopard, large numbers of which roam the Masai Mara.
