Ol Donyo Wuas

Ol Donyo Wuas private lodge in the Chyulu Hills has magnificent views to the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro in neighboring Tanzania.

The lodge is located in the 300,000 acres of a Masai community ranch and accommodates 22 guests in seven beautiful, stone-built rooms.  Some of these have two beds, while others are four bed cottages with a private lounge and swimming pool.  All rooms have adjoining bathrooms with a shower and bath tub, flush loo and additional outdoor shower with stunning views out over the plains.  Most rooms have a rooftop area where guests can enjoy sundowners and which, for the adventurous, can double up as sleeping platform for a night spent under the stars. The main lodge building houses a lounge, a dining area and a library. Staff at the lodge will ensure that you receive individual attention.

At Ol Donyo Wuas you can choose to be as active or lazy as you wish- you dictate the pace. At certain times of year there is good wildlife watching, but most guests come here more for the authentic Kenyan experience. The landscape around the lodge is stunning and there is the opportunity to explore the area either on foot, by horse, or by vehicle. You can also opt to sleep outside under the stars.
