Ol Malo House is set on the edge of an escarpment with stunning views over the wilderness landscape below. This beautiful newly built house is owned by Rocky and Colin Francombe, who also own a nearby lodge on the private 5,000 acre Ol Malo ranch, situated in the Laikipia region of Northern Kenya.

Accommodation & Facilities
Lovingly built from natural rock with a thatched roof, the house has a large sitting room, library and dining room. There are three double bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms.  Two cottages are also available, separate from the house; one is a double and the second has two double bedrooms, both have adjoining bathrooms and a small sitting room. Ol Malo House can comfortably accommodate twelve guests with lots of extra room for youngsters. All the rooms are individually stylishly decorated with many extra African touches. There is a large, beautifully situated infinity pool with an area perfect for sitting, BBQ's and "al fresco" dining.

Wildlife & Activities
The resident team of house staff, guides and the fleet of private vehicles gives guests the flexibility to design their own daily itinerary. The private house is the perfect option for groups of friends or families. Some of the activities available include day and night wildlife drives, camel treks and escorted bush walks. The wildlife in the area includes elephant, giraffe, zebra, leopard, antelope, and buffalo; the bird watching is excellent. Also offered are day excursions to Karisia Hills and the Samburu town of Maralal. There are various opportunities to interact with the Samburu. It is possible to spend time at one of the local manyattas and learn how the Samburu go about their daily lives plus see the il morans (warriors) and young women – you will understand why 'samburu' means 'butterfly' in Maa when you see all their glorious beads & finery. Alternatively there is a pool to relax in, or excellent birdwatching to enjoy.
