Ol Malo

Ol Malo is situated in north eastern Kenya on the Uaso River. This 5,000 acre ranch and game sanctuary has magnificent views over the Mukogodo and is home to the nomadic Ndorobo people.

The lodge accommodates only eight guests in sublime comfort. Your genial hosts, Colin and Rocky Francombe, have lived in Kenya all their lives and really make Ol Malo special. They work hard to ensure you get the most out of your stay in this peaceful wilderness. The lodge is built with natural rock and a thatched roof, and all of the rooms have an adjoining bathroom. A veranda by the bar and dining room overlooks a very busy waterhole, as does the view from the incredible infinity pool.

Activities available at Ol Malo include day and night games drives, camel treks and escorted bush walks. The are also various opportunities to interact with the Samburu.  Spend time at one of the manyattas and learn how the Samburu go about their daily lives plus see the il moran (worriers) and young women – you will understand why 'samburu' means 'butterfly' in Maa when you see all their glorious beads & finery.
