Saruni Camp
Saruni Camp is just outside the Masai Mara Reserve in a privately owned area. This comfortable owner-run camp has incredible views across the plains from its hideaway position in a “secret valley.” There are just six cottages with adjoining bathrooms, all of which have splendid views from their verandas. The cottages are beautifully furnished, with antique furniture and African art. There is a central dining area, but most meals are taken outdoors.
Activities
available include game drives with experienced guides in 4x4 vehicles, allowing
guests to view the wildlife of this fascinating reserve where the annual
wildebeest and zebra migration crosses the plains from the neighboring
Serengeti between July and mid-October. These animals are prey for lion,
cheetah and leopard, large numbers of which roam the Masai Mara. Walking
safaris with local Masai guides can also be arranged by Saruni Camp and offer a
different perspective of this incredible area and its wildlife.
