Danforth Lodge and yacht charters is based at Cape Maclear bordering the Lake Malawi National Park. Surrounded by islands, this is one of the most beautiful locations on the lake.

Accommodation & Facilities
The lodge has seven spacious air conditioned rooms, with adjoining bathrooms, all opening onto a large patio which leads to the garden, sparkling infinity siwmming pool and down to the sandy beach. All rooms at Danforth have spectacular views of the lake and look out over Thumbi West Island. Meals are taken on the large, thatched beach gazebo. Superb cuisine is prepared by local and international chef's using a selection of seasonal and fresh local foods.

Wildlife & Activities
Watersports available on site include water-skiing, wakeboarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, catamaran and dingy sailing and fishing. The magnificent full live-aboard catamaran "Mufasa" is available for day sailing, sunset cruises and for live-aboard charters. There is also a fully equipped PADI dive centre.
