Pumulani

With a sandy beach on the lakeshore of Lake Malawi close to Cape Maclear, Pumulani Lodge climbs up the hillside overlooking the lake, with rooms blending into the surrounding vegetation. The views from the main building of the lodge and swimming pool make the climb worthwhile.

Pumulani Lodge has ten spacious suites, with a large lounge and separate bedroom and adjoining bathroom. All rooms have decks with umbrellas and views across Lake Malawi. Meals can be taken both at the main dining area or in the shady grounds close to the beach. There are bars both on the beach and at the main area.

There are many watersports available from Pumulani, including water-skiing and wake boarding, trips out on the lodge’s wooden dhow, snorkeling and kayaking. Diving can be arranged locally.
