Paradis Hotel and Golf Club
Le Paradis stretches along a wide swathe of sandy beach on the southwest tip of Mauritius. The drive from the airport takes about an hour. With the Le Morne Mountain as a backdrop the hotel occupies one of the most spectacular sites on the island, and has a real feeling of exclusivity.
Although it has nearly 300 rooms, it always feels very private even during the peak season. There are a wide variety of rooms and suites here. The majority of rooms face the water, offering an impressive view of the sea as it breaks spectacularly over the distant reef. The pool is on one level, which makes the supervision of children particularly easy. Le Paradis has four restaurants, but also shares facilities with its sister hotel the Dina Robin further along the beach - this gives the choice of a further two restaurants together with an excellent spa.
Emphasis at Le Paradis is very much on family and sporting holidays. There is an excellent children's club and a huge sports centre. Both adults and children can have tuition in a variety of sports from golf to water skiing. The hotel also has a number of deep sea fishing boats.
