Dugong Lodge

Dugong Lodge is situated on the Mozambique Coast, within the Vilanculos Coastal Wildlife Sanctuary. Covering 30,000 hectares of pristine marine and wildlife territory, this diverse eco-system of bush and wetland, with its powder white beaches and crystal clear water is host to a magnificent array of fish, dolphin and very importantly, the nearly extinct "Dugong".

The lodge, perched right on the edge of the beach is in an idyllic setting with ten tents built on raised decks in the shade of msasa trees and jecka grass canopies. Each luxuriously appointed tent has an ensuite bathroom and outside shower. The lounge and restaurant are on raised mahogany timber decks with lovely views out to sea. There is a swimming pool and marine sports centre.

Guests at Dugong can simply relax on the beach or for the more active, fishing, diving, snorkelling and sunset cruises can all easily be arranged.
