Ibo Island Lodge

Ibo Island Lodge is situated on one of a string of thirty two islands which make up the tropical Quirimbas Archipelago off the coast of Northern Mozambique; Ibo is among the world's most romantic islands.

Situated on a prime waterfront site, Ibo Island Lodge is made up of three imposing mansion houses each built more than one hundred years ago. The guest accommodations are in two of these lovely houses and the third house contains all the public areas-the restaurant, swimming pool, shop, and main gardens. Some of the individually designed bedrooms have private verandas; all are beautifully furnished with hand crafted furniture and soft, vibrantly colored cushions. Chefs at the lodge use freshly grown produce and combine traditional African specialties with the superb local seafood. Dinners are served on the peaceful verandas or on the rooftop terrace giving guests a spectacular view over the island.

Guests at Ibo Island Lodge can relax and enjoy the splendid beach or the attractive pool area. For the more adventurous, scuba diving, fishing trips, kayaking and dhow sailing trips can be arranged. Visitors also have the chance to become immersed in the ancient, unchanged culture of Ibo Island by meeting with the friendly, hospitable islanders.
