Beach Lodge

The Beach Lodge is situated on Namibia’s Atlantic coast and is right on the beach, a ten minutes drive to the north of the center of Swakopmund.

There are 15 comfortable twin and family rooms at the Beach Lodge, all of which have private bathroom facilities. They have the feel of modern apartments and are in a beautiful setting with good views. Breakfast is served in the restaurant.

Swakopmund isn’t a classic seaside resort; the sea mist rolls in on many mornings and easterly winds blow in the afternoons. There is, however, plenty in the area to keep visitors at the Beach Lodge occupied and there are a number of activities available in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay nearby. ATV excursions and lie-down or stand-up sand-boarding make great use of the sand dunes inland. Boat, kayak and catamaran trips to view seal colonies on Pelican Point are available from Walvis Bay – sometimes dolphins can be seen there too. The lagoon is wonderful for bird-watching, with large groups of pelicans, among others, visiting in the summer.
