Damaraland Camp
Damaraland Camp is situated on the north bank of the Huab River Valley, around 90 kilometers inland from Torra Bay on Namibia's Skeleton Coast. The camp is truly located in the wilderness, with towering mountains and rolling plains giving way to the shifting dunes. There are ten large comfortable meru-style walk-in tents at Damaraland Camp, all with bathroom facilities and a veranda, offering striking views across the valley. The dining room, bar and lounge are part of the main living area, which is thatch. There is also a small pool. On calm evenings, an open campfire is lit and dinner is often eaten outside. Nature walks and drives into the Huab River system offer visitors the chance to see some of the species that have had to adapt to life in a desert environment, including the rare desert elephant, black rhino, oryx, kudu, and springbok.
