Desert Homestead

Desert Homestead is located 35km southeast of Sesriem and the Sossusvlei dunes, in a wide grassy valley, sheltered by the Nubib, Tsaris, and Naukluft Mountains.

Desert Homestead’s accommodations consist of 19 traditional chalets, built from local rock so that they blend in with the surrounding environment. Each chalet has bathroom facilities and a private outside deck area. They are simply furnished but very comfortable. The main area consists of a dining area bar and lounge, as well as a small sun deck and swimming pool.

Desert Homestead also offers horseback riding in the early mornings and late evenings. Guided tours into the Sossusvlei Dunes can also be arranged.
