Erongo

Erongo Camp is set amongst dramatic rock 'kopjes' in the Erongo Wilderness area between Windhoek, 2½ hours to the south, and Etosha to the north.

There are ten large safari tents set on platforms amongst the rocks, shaded by thatched roofs. Each has an ensuite loo and shower behind and a large verandah in front from which to enjoy the magnificent views. The main area has a restaurant and bar overlooking a small waterhole. There is also a plunge pool with both sunny and shaded lounge areas nearby.

Activities in Erongo area are possible both on foot and by vehicle. Nature drives or walks are possible both in the morning or evening with pleasant walks to the summits of the nearby freestanding granite outcrops. Wildlife is sparse, but there are smaller antelope, very good birds and lots of rock hyrax in the area. There are also a number of areas with Bushman paintings.
