Kulala Lodge
On the western side of the Kulala Reserve in Namibia sits Kulala Lodge, overlooking a dry riverbed. Its location provides guests with spectacular views of the famed red dunes of Sossusvlei in the West and the rocky Namib Mountains in the north and east. Accommodations at Kulala Lodge are provided in thatch and canvas tents on raised decks. Each is equipped with adjoining bathroom facilities. External stairs lead to a flat roof; it is ideal for stargazing or even sleeping under the stars. There is a lounge, bar and dining room, shop, and swimming pool in the main area. There are a variety of activities available, including game drives to the magnificent Sossusvlei dunes, starting early in the morning and lasting all day. Shorter nature drives can be taken from Kulala Lodge to see the fantastic views, desert game, and smaller desert fauna and flora. Day trips and walks into the Namib-Naukluft Mountains are available, and scenic balloon rides and flights can also be arranged.
