Mowani Mountain Camp
Situated amongst the rugged rock “kopjes” (small African hills) in the Twyfelfontain area of Damaraland is Mowani Mountain Camp. Set on platforms on the rocks at Mowani are two suites and 14 spacious safari tents. All have a veranda for enjoying the magnificent views and in-suite facilities. There is a bar, restaurant, and plunge pool in the main area. Mowani Mountain Camp offers activities on foot or by vehicle in its own private area. Nature drives or walks can be taken in the mornings or evenings with pleasant walks to the freestanding granite outcrops nearby. There is not a great deal of wildlife here, however the birdlife is good and there are desert adapted elephant in the area. There are also Bushman paintings that can be viewed.
