Sossusvlei Desert Lodge

Around an hour’s drive from the entrance to the Sossusvlei dunes, Sossusvlei Desert Lodge sits on a rugged slope, overlooking an open plain and the magnificent coloured dunes of the NamibRand Nature Reserve.

There are ten very large suites at Sossusvlei Mountain Lodge, all with adjoining bathroom facilities and spacious living areas. The beds are raised on platforms, so that guests can enjoy the views out of the windows, or look out of the skylight to see the stars. There is a bar, lounge, restaurant, and shop in the main area. There is also a well-stocked wine cellar and a swimming pool.

Guests can take part in nature drives or ATV excursions to appreciate the spectacular views and to see smaller desert fauna and flora. There are also many nature walks available with or without a guide. Scenic flights, balloon rides, and drives to see the dunes at dawn can also be arranged.
