Wolwedans Dune Camp
Wolwedans is nestled amidst the dunes in the
heart of the NamibRand Nature Reserve in Namibia about an hour and a
half’s drive from the entrance to the Sossusvlei dunes.
Accommodation & Facilities
The Dune Camp is the original camp in the area and is located on the
edge of a 250 metre high dune providing stunning views of the valley
below and the distant Losberg Mountains. The accommodation for twelve
people is rustic but comfortable. Guests stay in comfortable tents
pitched on wooden platforms. Each tent has a spacious veranda allowing
for safe sleep-outs under the stars. There is a private bathroom a short
walk away built on the same platform. The main building a short
distance away, is also built on stilts and comprises an intimate dining
room serving excellent meals and open air bar.
Wildlife & Activities
Guests are encouraged to go on full day desert drives accompanied by
a guide into the reserve. You can also go on guided walks in the area,
and enjoy picnics in the wild and sundowners on the dunes. Scenic
flights and ballooning can be arranged at an extra cost.
