Wolwedans Dunes Lodge

 

Wolwedans Dunes Lodge is set in the heart of the NamibRand Nature reserve and about an hour and a half by vehicle from the famous sand dunes at Sossusvlei.

There are nine private chalets here, each built around a wooden frame with canvas walls. Raised above the ground on stilts, the comfortable rooms have an adjoining bathroom and private veranda which has stunning views over the desert. In the main complex, which comprises two separate buildings, there is a large bar, dining room, library, wine cellar and sundowner deck.

One of the highlights of a stay here is to go on a full day desert drive deep into the heart of the reserve. Guests can also take guided walks closer to camp and enjoy picnics on the dunes. Scenic balloon flights can be arranged at an additional cost.
