Wolwedans

In the center of the stunning NamibRand Nature Reserve, Wolwedans Tented Camp and Wolwedans Dune Lodge are set amongst the dunes, around an hour and a half’s drive from the entrance to the Sossusvlei Dunes.

Wolwedans Dune Camp is situated on a 820 foot high dune, which provides magnificent views across the valley and towards the distant Losberg Mountains. There are accommodations for 12 guests in traditional but comfortable dome tents, which are raised on platforms. Private bathrooms are on the same platforms, a short walk away. Also on stilts is the main area, with an open air bar and a small dining room serving excellent food.

Wolwedans Dune Lodge is designed to blend into the surrounding area, with wooden and canvas walls raised off the ground on stilts. Each spacious chalet has a private bathroom and large veranda, providing beautiful views across the desert.

Guests at Wolwedans are encouraged to take part in a full day desert drive into the reserve with a guide. There are also guided walks and picnics that can be enjoyed amongst the dunes.
