Fregate Island
Fregate is one of the most remote islands in the Seychelles archipelago. It is a 20 minute flight from Mahé and surrounded by its own coral reef. The 400 feet high Mount Signal dominates the island, which has many secluded white beaches and its own varieties of wildlife. There are 16 luxurious villas on Fregate Island. Two villas are set in lush tropical gardens and 14 are spaced out along the cliff top, with magnificent views. Each has a spacious living area, where two children can sleep if extra space is needed. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and have adjoining bathrooms. Outside is a shower and jacuzzi as well as a king size day bed. Guests at Fregate Island have a private golf buggy, which they can use to explore the island and the remote beaches. The rare magpie robin is found only on Fregate Island and bird-watching is popular here. There are also guided walks through the vibrant vegetation with the chance to see the harbor and ruins and investigate the islands pirate folklore. Swimming, snorkeling and fishing are all excellent here.
