Plains Camp
Plains Camp is set in a private wilderness area of the Kruger National Park in South Africa. It has been built in true pioneer tradition, reflecting the ambience of a 19th century classic tented camp. Guests are accommodated in four African explorer-style tents set in an acacia thicket. The camp overlooks the spectacular Timbitene plain which has abundant game year round.
The whole of Plains Camp is raised on stilts and all structures are canvas. The main areas comprise a dining and lounge area and there is a revitalizing plunge pool for guests to use during the heat of the day.
Although the main activity from Plains Camp is rhino tracking which is done on foot, the camp is in the middle of a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession, so guests will also see superb general game.
