Rocktail Beach Camp

 

Rocktail Beach Camp is situated in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, within the lush, tropical shade of the Maputaland Coastal Forest Reserve and adjoining the Maputaland Marine Reserve. This newly built family friendly lodge lies within a proclaimed World Heritage Site. The camp is situated a fifteen minute walk from the vast and pristine beach.

The camp consists of 17 rooms all of which with en-suite bathrooms, open-feel indoor shower and overhead fans. Seven of these are family units with a shared bathroom and two bedrooms for two adults and two children. The camp's main area has a wine cellar, large pool, curio shop and children's playroom.

Rocktail Beach Camp is ideal for those who want to truly relax and unwind within access to one of the best coastlines anywhere in the world. Facilities here are completed with a large dining room and a bar decorated in traditional Africa design and a large pool and sun deck for those who want to relax around the lodge.

The highlight here is the miles and miles of pristine and undeveloped coastline. Keen scuba divers will enjoy being adjacent to the long established and very well run Rocktail Dive Centre so and in close to the boat launch site on nearby Mazengwenya Beach. In addition to simply sunning yourself on the vast golden beaches guests can also enjoy snorkelling trips, nocturnal turtle beach walks (seasonal) and outings to other points of interest in the area.
