Wait a Little Horse Safaris is run by Philip and Gerti Kusseler over 74,131 acres of privately managed reserve on the borders of the Kruger National Park. This area provides fabulous riding in one of Africa's most beautiful wilderness regions. The routes follow some of the many rivers in the area which support a wide variety of flora and fauna including lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, and wild dog.

The owners are expert riders with many years experience, and Gerti has ridden competitively and worked for many years as a horse trainer. She is in charge of the training and care of the horses while Philip is head of the guiding team. The accommodation at Wait a Little Horse Safaris are in double-bedded canvas safari-style tents on raised decks with wonderful views over the Makhutswe River; they have African style furnishings and a private outside bathroom.

The itineraries are fairly flexible, usually guests ride for about three hours in the early morning and again late in the afternoon, but all day rides with picnic lunches are often organized. On the seven night "Big Five," Safari guests spend four nights at Wait A Little Camp, one night at a simple bush camp and two nights at a tented Phiva lodge. There is also a ten night horseback safari on the famous Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve which includes three nights at Wait A Little Camp, four nights at two separate Makalali camps, and three nights at the luxurious Garonga Safari Camp.
