Ras Kutani

 

Ras Kutani is on the mainland coast of Tanzania, just a short flight south from Dar Es Salaam. Our guests have found that Ras Kutani is the perfect spot to unwind for a few days before or after a safari. The pristine beach is often almost deserted and the brilliantly blue Indian Ocean is invitingly warm.

Ras Kutani is a small property with generous sized rooms all overlooking the sea or lagoon. All of the nine thatched cottages has its own adjoining bathroom and hammocks on the terrace. The four hillside suites are slightly raised and each has its own private plunge pool. There is also a family hillside suite presenting two bedrooms. The roomy bar, dining room and lounge provide a lovely space to relax and take in the seaviews while having a drink or meal.

From the beach, snorkelling and kayaking can be arranged (dependant on tides), or you can partake in a nature walk around the lodge and lagoon – perfect for spotting birds, butterflies and monkeys. The lagoon, positioned behind the lodge, can also be explored by rowing boat or canoe.For those wishing to relax, there is a small spa and a delightful swimming pool with decked and relaxation area.
