Uganda Set Departure
We can organise both private and set departure trips covering the highlights of both Uganda and Rwanda. Private trips can be tailored to include areas of particular interest for example birding or gorilla tracking, whereas set departure itineraries will combine a variety of areas and activities.
A typical set departure trip combining the highlights of Uganda and Rwanda involves travelling with a small group in your own 4wd vehicle and with your own private guide. The twelve day trip starts in Uganda's capital Kampala and ends in Rwanda's capital Kigali, having visited, Queen Elizabeth II National Park, Bwindi National Park, Mgahinga National Park and Parc National des Volcans (PNV) along the way. Accommodation throughout the trip is in the best lodges and camps in each area. You are hosted by the camp staff but also have your driver/guide available for daily activities.
Gorilla trekking is the main focus at PNV and Bwindi, although golden monkey tracking, a visit to Dian Fossey's grave and volcano climbs are possible at PNV, and forest walks are possible at Bwindi. Lake trips, nature walks and climbs are available at Mgahinga, whilst the focus at QEII National Park is big game viewing and boat trips on the Kazinga Channel. Chimp tracking is also possible at the nearby Chambura Gorge.
