Kapinga Bushcamp
Kapinga Bushcamp is situated In the north
west sector of the Kafue
National Park in the
heart of the Busanga Plains. Between June and October, the water levels on the
flood plains reduce, leaving this wild remote area relatively dry and home to a
diverse variety of mammals and birds.
Accommodation & Facilities
Kapinga Bushcamp is a luxurious tented camp and has very
comfortable accommodations consisting of four spacious safari tents. These
large walk-in, Meru-style tents have adjoining bathrooms and are set on a
raised platform with spectacular views over the Busanga Plains.
Wildlife & Activities
While at Kapinga guests can enjoy day and night game drives and guided
bush walks. Good lion and cheetah sightings are common. A number of
other species not readily encountered in other counties are often seen
including puku, defassa waterbuck, oribi, roan and Lichtenstein's
hartebeest. Birdlife is also abundant in this area and good
concentrations of wattled crane, various pelicans, storks and herons
are common, as well as a birder’s special – the Bohm’s Bee-eater. Hot
air ballooning is also possible and is a spectacular way to the see the
surrounding landscapes from a very different perspective.
