Kapinga is a luxury tented camp located in the in the heart of the Busanga Plains in the north west sector of Zambia's Kafue National Park. From June to October the water level in the flood plains reduces to leave this remote and wild area which is home to a diverse variety of mammal and birds
The camp consists of three luxury safari tents and accommodates a maximum of just six guests. The large walk in Meru-style tents are comfortably furnished and have en-suite facilities. Each tent at Kapinga is set on a raised platform and has spectacular views out over the Busanga Plains.
While at Kapinga guests can enjoy vehicle based game drives and guided bush walks. Good lion and fantastic cheetah (some of the best in Africa) sightings are common. A number of other species not readily encountered in other counties are often seen including puku, defassa waterbuck, oribi, roan and Lichtenstein's hartebeest. Birdlife is also abundant in this area and good concentrations of wattled crane, various pelicans, storks and herons are common.
