Kutandala

Kutandala has a wonderful location on the banks of the Mwaleshi River in the heart of the North Luangwa National Park. This beautiful camp has accommodation for only six guests and provides the ultimate safari experience for those who seek an exclusive destination in a truly remote wilderness area.

The rooms each have a private bathroom and are beautifully built from local reed and thatch materials, providing an authentic rustic appearance. Each room has a wonderful view across the Mwaleshi River. Kutandala is owned and run by Rod and Guz Tether. Rod is a guide with expert knowledge and a great passion for the camp and its surroundings. Guz is an accomplished chef and serves up exquisite food of the highest quality.

The emphasis at Kutandala is on walking; you can choose morning or evening walks or all day trips. These could include wildlife tracking; Cookson’s wildebeest, elephant, lion and buffalo are all found here. The bird-watching is excellent with over 400 species recorded.
