Lunga River Lodge
Lunga River Lodge is located just outside Zambia's Kafue National Park, the largest Park in Africa. The National Park protects a number of habitats, through which flow a series of unique rivers.
Lunga River Lodge is situated on the edge of the river, shaded under hardwood trees. It is truly remote but provides all home comforts in six well decorated thatched chalets with en-suite facilities. There is a dining room, reading room, plunge pool, steam room and a bar with a sundeck suspended over the river.
Guests can take day or night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles. Based on the Lunga River, it is possible to take canoe trips, river cruises, and go bream fishing. The Park is home to over 55 mammal species including many antelope and cat species. Regular sightings include lechwe, puku, lion and cheetah, and pangolin and aardvark are occasionally seen. There is also excellent birding in the area.
