Luwi Bushcamp is a Norman Carr Safaris' remote seasonal bush camp in the SouthLuangwa National Park. Situated on the banks of a permanent lagoon beneath huge mahogany trees, this location attracts game from the surrounding area all year round and the camp is constantly host to visiting wildlife.

The guest accommodations are in four authentic grass and thatch huts which provide a truly African bush experience, but with the comfort of adjoining bathrooms. You will dine beneath the trees with a view towards the grassy plains beyond.

There are very few roads in this area of the park and the main pastime here at Luwi Bushcamp is walking with an expert guide. It is not unusual for guests to see elephant and lion while on foot close to the camp. The lagoon is the home of crocodile, hippo and numerous water birds. For the less energetic it is possible to observe some fantastic game from the comfort of the camp's hammock; you may spot hyena, giraffe, and various antelope strolling past the camp. Due to the remote location of Luwi, guests are assured a true feel of the heart of Africa. Luwi can be combined with the other Norman Carr bush camps in South Luangwa to form a complete walking safari.
