Mchenja Bushcamp is nestled in a shady grove of ebony trees along the banks of the Luangwa River in the SouthLuangwa National Park. There are expansive views of the river and the surrounding plains from this picturesque site. Mchenja Bushcamp is stylish and elegant, and it offers comfortable accommodations in five bespoke wood and thatch chalets with private open air bathroom facilities, including a freestanding roll top bath. The central dining area, bar and lounge are set beneath the ancient ebony trees and have wonderful views. There is also a small plunge pool for the guests. Activities on offer from Mchenja include vehicle-based day and night game drives and walking safaris with expert guides. Regular game sightings include lion, elephant and buffalo, and guests have a good chance of seeing leopard. A nearby grass hide overlooks a deep lagoon and provides secretive and close-up views of a variety of animals, ideal for photography.
