Mchenja Bushcamp
Mchenja Bushcamp lies hidden in a shady grove of ebony trees on the bank of the Luangwa River in Zambia's South Luangwa National Park. It is a picturesque site with expansive views of the river.
Mchenja is an elegant, stylish camp that offers accommodation in five wood and thatch chalets each with a private en-suite open air bathroom plus an inside freestanding roll top bath. The bar, lounge and dining area, set amongst the ancient ebony trees has lovely views and a small plunge pool completes the facilities.
As well as vehicle based day and night game drives, guests can also enjoy walks in the company of expert guides. Elephant, buffalo and lion are regularly sighted and guests will have a good chance of seeing leopard whilst staying at Mchenja. A grass hide close to camp over-looks a deep lagoon providing secretive and close up views of a variety of animals.
