Mwamba Bush Camp lies in the heart of the South Luangwa Valley and is owned and run by Derek and Juliet Shenton.  Its secluded setting allows for remote and exclusive safaris, and Derek’s intimate knowledge of the bush makes every safari a unique experience.

The chalets are built from reed and thatch and each has a large skylight in the roof which, protected by mosquito netting, allows guests to “sleep under the stars” in the comfort of their own room.    The accommodation cleverly blends back to nature simplicity with essential comfort, and each of the three chalets has solar lighting and private bathrooms.

The camp offers both walking and vehicle-based game drives, and photographers will be interested in the nearby hides which allow for some spectacular picture opportunities.  There is plenty of game in the area, with large herds of buffalo, eland and a resident pride of lions. Leopard sightings are also good.
